Okafor Philomina Chinenye served as a member of the Directorate for the 13th cohort of the GELA Prestigious Global Mentorship Programme (PGMP), where she actively volunteered as the PGMP Curriculum Coordinator. In this role, she was responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the cohort, coordinating directorates, monitoring mentor–mentee relationships, vetting programme score sheets, and ensuring effective dissemination of information across the programme.
Okafor Philomina Chinenye is a values-driven professional who upholds strong ethical and leadership principles. She is highly skilled in deploying her expertise to support organizations and institutions in achieving their goals and is known for being goal-oriented, vision-driven, and impact-focused. She is a passionate advocate of Sustainable Development Goal 4, which promotes quality education.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Mathematics from the University of Benin (2005) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (2008). Her professional certifications include Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification (2017), the Prestigious Global Mentorship Programme (2022), and Accelerated Jobberman Soft Skill Training (2022).
Philomina has extensive experience in academic and organizational coordination. She has served as an academic staff member at Word of Faith Schools, Benin City, since January 2010, where her roles have included Mathematics Tutor, Form Mistress, Head of Department, and Chairperson of the Examination Committee. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Mathematics Tutor at Alpha Group of Schools and also served as a Mathematics and Integrated Course Tutor during her National Youth Service Corps at Antie Maria Group of Schools.
In addition to her academic career, Philomina is an entrepreneur and the founder of Phil’s Dynamic Hub Enterprise, a business engaged in general contracts, import and export, general merchandise, and supply. She has grown the enterprise from the ground up through diligence, consistency, and hard work.
